Sales for their initial year of operation amounted to about $60,000. The first recorded sales revenues involved the machining and assembly of stainless-steel valves, pipe fittings and various parts. During 5 years of operation, the business had expanded to 40 employees and their yearly sales volume had increased to three hundred thirty thousand dollars. Nowadays, Cascade is one of the leading worldwide producers in the material handling industry.

Production and design of the company's initial hydraulic cylinder paved the way in Cascade's aggressive quest of better business opportunities. Over the last sixty years, the material handling industry has grown into a very complex field and Cascade has proudly played a part on this growth. Cascade at present continues to develop as the premier supplier of lift truck attachments and different related products. The business feels assured in their capability in order to continue to lead the way in the business by understanding client's needs in the future and remaining competitive within the international market.

Throughout the nineteen fifties, Cascade started to make, design, and sell its hydraulic accessories. The business altered its name to Cascade Corporation in 1964. In 1965, Cascade went public with an initial offering of two hundred thousand shares of common stock. The business has expanded its manufacturing plants throughout the United States with places in Springfield, Abilene, Warner Robins, Georgia, Portland, Oregon. Cascade products are manufactured globally thanks to numerous subsidiary operations. In the year 1944, a brand new plant was completed in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European head office. This plant is made to be the ultimate customer support centre.

Continuing to grow, Cascade expanded their product offering further in the year 1996 and the year 1997 with the remarkable acquisition of 5 firms, including the global best in forks, the Kenhar Corporation.
